Wragge & Co's award-winning Pensions team has been appointed as the main legal adviser to the trustees of the £1.5 billion ICL Group Pension Plan of Fujitsu Services and Fujitsu Services Common Investment Fund.

Partner Jason Coates led the team, supported by partner Paul Feathers, associates Kevin Milton and Lynne Holcroft and solicitor Katie Trevis. The team will work closely with secretary to the trustees Paula Evans to advise on the legal aspects of all pensions issues.

Jason Coates said: "Our practice brings together a team of pensions experts with a strong track record of providing clear and commercially-focused advice. We are looking forward to providing a quality service to the trustees of such a well-known and highly-respected organisation within the global market."

Paula Evans said: "We are very pleased to be working with the Wragge & Co team. We liked their approach and style and feel it fits well with us."

Wragge & Co also advises the trustees of the £120 million Fujitsu Comparable Pension Scheme, Fujitsu's primary pension vehicle for public sector employees joining under TUPE regulations. The ICL Group Pension Plan of Fujitsu Services and Fujitsu Services Common Investment Fund is the latest billion pound plus scheme client the Pensions team has won, following appointment to advise the trustees of the £1.05 billion G4S Pensions Scheme and the billion pound Thales UK Pension Scheme.

Wragge & Co's 41-lawyer Pensions team was named Pensions Law Firm at the Pension & Investment Provider Awards 2010 and Pension Lawyers of the Year at the UK Pensions Awards 2010. It advises employers and pensions trustees on a full range of contentious, non-contentious and investment matters. Led by seven partners, the team also works closely with industry bodies such as the Pensions Protection Fund and the Pensions Regulator.
